Project on Gender Equality and COVID 19

CED is implementing a project on Gender Equality and Socio-Economic Consequences of COVID-19 Crisis. This is a joint project with the Institute for Social Research – Italy and is commissioned by the European Institute for Gender Equality. The study aims at creating new knowledge on the subject and focuses on the work-life balance. It will also provide conclusions and recommendations to include a gender sensitive perspective in the policies and measures to be adopted to get out of the crisis.

The National Study on Bulgaria will include literature review and in-depth national research (semi-structured interviews with stakeholders). The idea is to provide detailed data and information through fieldwork for understanding national context as regards the effectiveness of the national recovery and policy measures to support women and men’s ability to reconcile work, family and personal lives in the context of the COVID-19 crisis.
